About the Author

R A Duggan was born in London in 1946. After graduating at Chelsea Art School in 1967, he worked for several years in the first arts studio complex at SPACE Warehouse, St Katharine Dock, in East London, and later followed a career as an artist and art tutor in adult education, including teaching at Putney School of Art. He has shown his work in both national and international exhibitions, such as the Royal Academy of Arts, London. In 1993 he retired from teaching and has continued to give his time to art and writing. He lives in London, and has a daughter.

Although previously an agnostic, through his study of art history, he began to develop a real curiosity about the Bible and Christianity. The subject was approached without any fixed ideas or preconceptions. Gradually he became aware of factors that seemed to have been ignored or overlooked by a traditional interpretation. Here he explores an alternative view of reality that has developed as further evidence has emerged, and which may throw new light on the real meaning of events taking place in the world today.
